One of my favorite makeup trends to emerge on the Spring 2011 runways is the temple to cheek blush, spotted everywhere from Madrid to Milan. In most cases, makeup artists applied color in a “C” shape from the model’s temples to the apples of their cheeks, and blended well for a seamless transition.
At the Moschino show in Milan, models wore orange blush that not only was applied in the C shape, but was also blended onto the eyelids for a monochrome look.
I love the rosy pink blush at Christian Siriano’s show in New York. This is probably my favorite variation of the trend.
Richard Nicoll’s show during Londons Fashion Week featured models wearing an ochre colored blush applied just above the temples, and around onto the cheeks.
Edition by Georges Chakra showed a much more subdued and wearable version of the trend.
Hot pink was the color of choice on Lydia Delgado’s runway in Madrid.
